The creation of Château Belot dates back to the mid-1980s, when Lionel's father, Jacques decided to work on those lost hours a few feet of vines. Faced with the difficulty of being able to find planted plots, this former schoolteacher resolved to decipher the surrounding scrubland and crush pebbles and pebbles.
This was followed by the planting of the traditional grape varieties of the Saint-Chinian AOP for the production of red and rosé wines: syrah, black grenache and mourvèdre. Today, these plots produce high quality grapes, predestined for the development of the estate's vintages marked by the imprint of the belots of the Belot vineyard.

It was in 1997 that the Belot family took over this property on the edge of the Vernazobres, which it has very well restored. A tasting cellar, a reception room and a children's play area have been set up for the enjoyment of adults and children. Today the vineyard consists of 35 hectares, producing red, rosé and white wines distributed all over the world.
