The key word in the Vila Voltaire Estate is the preservation of soil life, fauna and flora in vineyard plots. Stéphane and Cécile had to do the work in organic farming on its own. All the plots of the estate are located on clay-limestone, sandstone and bauxite soils on the land of the commune of Cazedarnes.
The red wines AOP Saint-Chinian of Domaine La Vila Voltaire are not lacking in character and perfectly reflect the identity of these terrois of the Saint-Chinian appellation.

Our meeting on the benches of a school of Agricultural Engineers, our common passion for vines in its Mediterranean cradle and our southern roots naturally led us to settle in 2000. A favorite for our first old vines dedicated to grubbing up, "petas" that no one wanted because they were not productive and then a stroke of madness for a winemaker's house unearthed on the internet: the adventure is launched is the Vila Voltaire. Finally, the icing on the cake, the acquisition of plots in Saint-Chinian PDO: Carignan centenary, Syrah and Grenache on soils reddened by sandstone in an idyllic setting perpetually subject to the influences of the winds and soil.
