The setting is splendid when you arrive at the Gabelas Estate. The family home and the wine cellar are hidden under huge pine umbrellas, in the middle of the scrubland. The earth is red, typical of these reptile sandstones that make the soils of the commune of Cruzy special. Nature is omnipresent in Gabelas, preserved, pampered and protected. The estate has been engaged in organic farming since 2005.
Located along the Roman road, the place called Gabelas bears the testimonies of a multi-millennium habitat (dolmen) and the remains of amphorae already attest to wine activities. Pierrette took over after her father in 1993; quickly the observation of the soil dysfunction of the vines is necessary: it is necessary to bring back life to restart the natural cycles and thus have healthy and tasty grapes that by "soft" winemaking give generous wines with high characteristics - labelled in Organic Agriculture since 2008
